Hey y’all! I’m a current candidate for the class of 2027, and heard about the minority visitation program. Is this something you can apply for, or is it something that westpoint will select you for if you’re eligible?

Go to link below, read through, guidance provided.

If you haven’t yet read every page, link and menu item on USMA.edu, I recommend it. Most answers are there, at your primary official source.

Now is also a great time to habituate writing “West Point.”

Source: Google search string “USMA minority visitation program”

Go for it!

I was "selected" for the Minority Visitation Program, and it wasn't something I applied for. From the information sent to me, I assume you are selected for being a minority and being "highly qualified" in the eyes of West Point. Let me know if you have any questions!

I attended the program. Message me if you’d like to talk about it. As mentioned in the above comment, you get invited to attend it. If you are able to go in the future, I would recommend it.

Also attended the program. It’s a great experience and the majority of the candidates there received LOAs at the event, for what that’s worth. It seems like a pretty good sign if you get invited. Like the others said, I was invited, did not apply.
