MIT ROTC

Go to the their website on the mit.edu link (Clue 1), comb through it. Organize your questions if you still have any. Go to the Contact section, and exercise your professional future junior officer communications skills using live phone call technology to call them. You’ll want to know if there is room in the incoming class for you, let them know of your interest, ask any other questions, indicate you are taking the steps to request a transfer of scholarship (which you have researched at netc.navy.mil). The sooner the better, so you know if theee is room in the unit for you. If there isn’t, it’s on to the next school, same drill.

Is MIT ROTC a cross-town program or not? I accepted a Princeton scholarship, got deferred (it is a nice rejection) and entered MIT. I will probably not make it to Princeton anyway, so I thought of transferring the scholarship to MIT if it is not a cross-town program.
I looked here http://catalog.mit.edu/mit/undergraduate-education/career/rotc/#armytext but I could not figure out.
I am not 100% sure but I think you can find out by going on goarmy.com and enter the school name to see if it says: "This school’s Army ROTC program is hosted by" another college or not, which MIT does NOT show that line. Some other schools such as Yale and Boston College that are cross-towns do have that line indicated when you click on the schools.

MIT is the host. Be prepared to study a ton... its a tough school. During CPW you will get a better idea of the school.
My DS and his roommate will be hosts and are both in Army ROTC- so you can request to stay with them... good luck.
DM me if you want their contact information.

One other thing for those who might be thinking about IVY like experience. MIT hosts all three ROTCs- Army, Navy and AF. They have never kicked them off of campus, during the 70s, and continue to support the armed services to this day. I though this was commendable and worthy to share with others. They are not Ivy League though....
For the Ivy's-
Harvard students do all ROTCs at MIT. Yale hosts Navy, AF. Princeton has Army on campus, Brown has zero on campus but will van you to other cross towns, Upenn has Navy, Cornell- has all three and is trying to grow their program, Dartmouth has Army, Columbia is a no host, but you can do all of the cross town.

Good luck!
