The 2020 Appointee Instructions mentioned bringing molded cleats to BCT. DD has a new pair (identical to what she has worn the past 4 years) but is debating on whether to bring them for BCT.

Can someone tell us if cleats will be used during BCT, or would she be better off waiting and we bring them either on A-Day or during Parents Weekend?

Thanks.

The only thing cleats will be used for in BCT is intramurals. I played softball, so it was helpful to have my cleats. There is also soccer, flag football, and maybe a couple other sports where cleats will be useful. If you DD is an IC, she won't be playing intramurals, but she may need her cleats depending on her sport. If she wants to play a club sport during the year, she may also need/want them then, but you would have the opportunity to bring them out for A-Day or Parents' Weekend. Either way, it won't be detrimental to have them in BCT.

Thank you for the response. We didn't realize that there would be intramurals during BCT. She is not an IC, but does hope to play softball since she has played this sport for years and really enjoys it.
