If a cadet/parents to a different state after a DS starts at West Point is there any impact on the cadet's situation (i.e. slots available to each congressional source issue?)? Or is it a case of once a cadet is in West Point, they are in without consideration to the state or congressional district (or both) from which the nominations were received. I presume this situation happens often (job relocation, family matters, etc.). Thanks in advance.

No, there will be no impact. They remain charged to whatever source WP uses.

As stated by NavyHoops, no impact.
Just one question: Will you be informing your Cadet about your new address? That would be awkward, when he shows up for Thanksgiving and there is a totally different family living in the house he grew up in.

Hahaha! My parents did that! They moved when I got stationed in Okinawa and they never sent me the address. I kept asking and it took them like 3 months!

Thank you. Our US Rep called our son on 17 Jan 2017 to say he is getting an appointment to WP. Very thrilling phone call for a 17 year old to receive.

And last night, DS got a personal call from one of our senators congratulating him on his WP appointment. Hope others have gotten/will get the same call.
