My friend (Army) is being deployed to Poland as a combat medic. Can anyone validate that this story is true?

Yes. I have friends there now. They aren't in any big cities with fast food and the only thing brought in was an AAFES trailer with limited goods. KBR provides the food.

Not sure I follow your logic on this one. On the list of "mistakes" this one doesn't even come close to being on mine.
