So... I haven't heard back from the board committee. Could one of the reasons be that I wanted to be considered for the MSISR Scholarship. LIke could I have gotten rejected from the national one but still in contention for the MSISR. Because my friend was awarded the national one and we have similar stats. I have more extracurriculars but he has better pt scores. Could that be the reason I havent heard back?

If you have not heard anything regarding the national 4 year scholarship, then you could still be on the alternate list. There is still hope for that.

Then there is an MSI board next month and you would go in front of that board regardless of the 4 year national board results.

Sometimes, the key factor is the tier of major. MSI tends to have a higher percentage of tier 3 majors. So the best answer is to hang in there until after the MSI board meets.

Not at all. It just means you have not been denied a 4 year scholarship at this point. And from my view of things, I think you would be competitive for the MSI if it came down to that particular board.
