DD is wondering if she can bring her ukulele. Does anyone know? Would it be allowed after the Academic Year starts? Would it have to be shipped? Or would it not be allowed at all?

Yes to having instruments and such during the year. I would deliver it just after Plebe Summer or bring it with you for Parent Weekend.

Speaking of splinters and split wood. Don't know what kind of uke you have, but make sure you tuck a dehumidifier in your case. Humidity can do some damage to your uke.
