Have you been a midshipman? I have watched people quit for very good reasons (USMA experience not USNA experience). They might have an injury or have a family need that was not part of the plan. Whenever you recognize it is the wrong path you should leave as soon as possible. To stay is to waste more resources.
So staying would be wrong because it wastes resources, but accepting the appointment to begin with is ok even, though you had the propensity to quit in the face of adversity and thereby taking a spot from an otherwise qualified candidate?

Isn't that too a waste of resources?

I will move on since I received so much backlash for expressing an opinion. Seems there is a lot of people who seek to silence those with differing opinions these days. Anyway...

Question: Does anyone know of a case where someone from NAPS attended an academy other than USNA? Or someone from USAFAPS or USMAPS attending other academies?

Yes it seems like arguments and drama constantly following you around when you post.

The commanding officer of my former company. He was an enlisted Marine, a naps grad, a USMA grad, and then a USMC Officer.

KIA July 12 1965 his would be the first MoH for the USMC in VN.

1st Lt Frank Reasoner USMC.
