Thanks Hopeful...he was notified via email on 12/20/2019. The email directed him to his portal where the offer was made.

Our DS accepted his offer to attend the Naval Academy Preparatory School (NAPS) class of 2021. We are very excited.
Congratulations! How was he notified of the NAPS offer ? I am still awaiting a decision from USNA. I feel like my best chances are probably a NAPS offer

My DD just received an email today that she was accepted to NAPS. She has a DQ in DODMERB under waiver review. Hopefully that gets taken care of. Haven't checked her portal yet. Stats. 4.0/ACT27/Class President 3yrs/3 varsity sports all 4 yrs and captain of one.

Congratulations to everyone above!

DS will be attending NAPS class of 2021. He was notified via email on 3/7/20 and his USNA Candidate Information page was updated as well. We weren't very familiar with the NAPS process but after doing some weekend research we believe it will be a great fit for him.

Based on this decision and his college applications I believe it came down to the lack of full year college classes offered at his HS, specifically Trig, Calc, and Physics. We are a very small town in northern MN so feel extremely blessed to have this opportunity!

Congratulations 7uberts!
Sounds very similar to my DS' situation. NAPS will help build skills that were lacking in our small school system and help ensure success at the Academy!

Has anyone received more instructions for NAPS? I followed the link provided in the portal to the page with instructions but the booklet was for the class of 2019 to 2020. I believe the instructions stay the same more or less but would like to know if there is more to be prepared. Thank you!

I have not found any recent instruction. I reached out to them via email a couple of weeks ago because I was concerned about changes or delays due to the Pandemic. They responded that currently, I-day is still set for July 21, 2020 but could change in response to the corona virus in the future.
