NAPS Decisions

Greetings everyone,

I am currently applying for the class of '28 but I was just wondering if anyone has gotten an offer to attend NAPS yet / around what time will NAPS decisions will be released.

Any response will be appreciated, thank you!!!
 
Not sure I have seen any posted here yet, but I am sure a few went out already. Most come Jan-March.

I have already seen 2 NAPS offers since mid-December … maybe a few more …

My DD was Pending by Mid December 2022 (everything turned in by that point). Then on April 3rd 2023 got the golden ticket appointment to NAPS. Have read it can be as late as June. Indoc for NAPS is typically last Tues in July. As mentioned above by there have been some NAPS announcements already - but I would venture to say they are the outliers - probably athlete recruits?
 
If someone gets an offer to NAPS, is that final? Like can your decision get updated to a full appointment?

Yes, every year we see that happen to a few posters, no way to tell how many. They must be on the knife edge between NAPS and USNA. Again, no way to tell where that fluid decision boundary lies.

It’s just another thing the candidate has no control over and shouldn’t spend any mental energy on. Both paths lead to the same door, one path longer.

Possible, but highly unlikely. Remember NAPS is typically for those who have something deficient in their record. NAPS offers are NOT the next couple of hundred candidates who just missed the USNA cut. Given there would be fully qualified candidates on a waiting list…there would have to be some unusual reason or mistake to move a NAPS offer to USNA appointment.
