NAPS nomination

I just got an email saying the admissions board has selected me to attend NAPS, provided that I complete the remaining requirements for admission. All I have left is to be cleared by DODMERB, so do I have to receive a Nomination in order to attend NAPS?
Nope. Congratulations!

A nomination is not needed for NAPS. Admissions sees something in you they like and want you to be better prepared for the rigors of the academy. You will have to seek nominations after your prep school year.

Congratulations. That's the golden ticket. You get through NAPS, get a nomination, and you'll be a shoe-in for class of 2025.

No nom in hand needed for NAPS. While at NAPS, you will apply for every nom for which you are eligible, for the Class of 2025. Congratulations! USNA is essentially saving you a seat. Finish this year strong, enjoy family and friends, and get ready to go to NAPS with a strong work ethic and willing spirit. You will emerge from that year confident in your ability, with maturity from having lived away from home, with a built-in set of friends going with you to I-Day.

Interestingly, recent research at USMA.edu indicates MAPS requires a nom in hand, or that’s the way I read it.

Congrats!!! As they say, the "Golden Ticket." But prepare to work your butt off. Any insight you care to share about what you think got you appointed to NAPS?

Thank You! I would say that I tried to spread myself as much as possible in High School; ASB, tutoring/mentoring, soccer, Mu Alpha Theta, football, Tae Kwon Do(Black Belt) and a few clubs. I worked to be heavily involved in my local community. Honestly, I didn’t have the greatest test scores but I think my course load and GPA may have been factors.

Thank you for the clarification.

Congratulations! Do you mind telling me your stats? I’m an applicant for class of 2024 but I’d be very grateful to receive a NAPS offer and based off my stats I think IF I get any offers from USNA it’ll be for NAPS
