I was selected for the waitlist for NAPS. I know that there isn’t much advice to give, but I wanted to see if any of the long time members have had any experience with the waitlist to NAPS.

Not a lot of experience with it. But I do think some have come off of it in the past. I have no idea how many or even how large the wait list is for NAPS. If your letter stated anything it would be great to hear. If I had to guess... May 1... final date for decisions. Based upon that USNA will know the NAPS yield and start cutting the wait list or making offers off of it. Good luck.
My DD was also waitlisted for NAPS today. This was in her email: Candidates for preparatory school will be considered after we have received notification from all candidates to whom we have already offered admission. Once that number is finalized, we will competitively award available offers to attend to candidates who choose to remain on the preparatory school Wait List.
The deadline for candidates to accept or decline their offer of admission to NAPS is May 1, 2019. You can expect the Admissions Board will be able to review your file for consideration for an appointment after mid-May, but it could be as late as early July.
