Ahhh .. so that's (partly) why the hearings in Escondido were today.
 
... surely it's nice to have a PH after the fact or post deployment. But at present moment you don't think about it much.
... got my boarding pass from Baghdad to Germany to get treated for an injury. While waiting at the airport, the sense of guilt was overwhelming. I didn't board the aircraft; went back to the desert.
 
For He to-day that sheds his blood with me shall be my brother. In my mind only one step below MOH. Lt. asked a prior Marine service member of my Daughter's company what is that ribbon for? Purple Heart Mam and he had the scars to prove it.
