My kid had a dental appointment. I'm guessing he missed the tix opportunity.
What a horrible message that sends. $$$$$$$$$Same here... My Midn was in class and apparently sold out in 15 mins.
A bit of a disgrace that they sent the Mids an email by 10:21 saying that the allotment of Midn tkts was sold out with a message 'If you have friends or family interested in attending, current packages are available now by callingthe NAVY tkt office.'
So if "packages" are available, why are they not available to the Brigade?
Apparently they sold out in under 5 minutes. FedEx field holds 67,617 and Lincoln Financial holds 69,796. Not that big a difference. Where did all the tickets go??? No tickets for 3* and below unless you also have season tickets, barely any tickets for Mids.My mid was late on the draw. Sold out . It’s quite irritating. Mid is a plebe, so we missed out this year, then it appears they had a limited amount for the brigade, and now we miss out in 2024 too.
I just hung up with the tkt office said exactly that! What a horrible message that sends. $$$$$$$$$
Make sure that you send it to the actual folks who run the show. . . that is NAAA, not the Supe/other government official.I expect this at Penn State & the big Power 5 $$ schools, but when kids at USNA, that will be serving the nation can't get 2 tkts for their parents, that is sad. I intend on writing the administration but I'm sure it will fall on deaf ears.
Greed? Do you think that the New Lacrosse Facility, Glen Warner Soccer Facility, etc are built and paid for by the US Government?I am reminded that the purpose of the current 5 city "tour" is to generate more money than the traditional Philly venue so maybe we should not be surprised with the huge amount greed involved by the powers that be.
Certainly I was upset that my increased donation to B&G from 1-star to 3-star did not get me priority to get tickets. Also note I am not a big Mr Gladchuk fan and do not believe that NAAA is necessarily acting always in the best interest of the Brigade. Like it or not, college football is big business and @OldRetSWO is spot on as usual. This is Capitalism 101--demand far outstrips supply. NAAA has every right to try and get as much share as possible versus it going to secondary sellers.I expect this at Penn State & the big Power 5 $$ schools, but when kids at USNA, that will be serving the nation can't get 2 tkts for their parents, that is sad. FedEx Field holds 62,000Apparently they sold out in under 5 minutes. FedEx field holds 67,617 and Lincoln Financial holds 69,796. Not that big a difference. Where did all the tickets go??? No tickets for 3* and below unless you also have season tickets, barely any tickets for Mids.
Yep exactly, not Sup or Dant, it's Chet & co....Make sure that you send it to the actual folks who run the show. . . that is NAAA, not the Supe/other government official.
Chet Gladchuk is the Athletic Director and President of the Naval Academy Athletic Association. They run this show.
For what its worth, Football to a major extent along with a couple of other sports to a very minor extent pay for the rest of
Naval Academy Sports. The US Government does not pay for/fund the Squash team's trip to Whatsamatta U for a competiton.
The Rugby Team's first year National Championship. . . paid for by NAAA. Women's Track Team winning Army/Navy? Travel
and expenses paid by NAAA.
A LOT of the $$$ comes from the TV contract with CBS Sports and CBS for the A/N football game but ticket sales are not a
minor contributor to this.
Why this number changed so much?!FedEx Field holds 62,000
