Navy-Army tickets

Same here... My Midn was in class and apparently sold out in 15 mins.

A bit of a disgrace that they sent the Mids an email by 10:21 saying that the allotment of Midn tkts was sold out with a message 'If you have friends or family interested in attending, current packages are available now by callingthe NAVY tkt office.'
So if "packages" are available, why are they not available to the Brigade?

What a horrible message that sends. $$$$$$$$$ 🤑

My mid was late on the draw. Sold out 🤬. It’s quite irritating. Mid is a plebe, so we missed out this year, then it appears they had a limited amount for the brigade, and now we miss out in 2024 too.
Apparently they sold out in under 5 minutes. FedEx field holds 67,617 and Lincoln Financial holds 69,796. Not that big a difference. Where did all the tickets go??? No tickets for 3* and below unless you also have season tickets, barely any tickets for Mids. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I just hung up with the tkt office said exactly that!

I inquired about the "Packages" referenced in the email the Mids received, and it is a B&G $1,500 donation, season tkt plan purchase, then up to 6 Army-Navy tkt.

I expect this at Penn State & the big Power 5 $$ schools, but when kids at USNA, that will be serving the nation can't get 2 tkts for their parents, that is sad. I intend on writing the administration but I'm sure it will fall on deaf ears.

Make sure that you send it to the actual folks who run the show. . . that is NAAA, not the Supe/other government official.
Chet Gladchuk is the Athletic Director and President of the Naval Academy Athletic Association. They run this show.

For what its worth, Football to a major extent along with a couple of other sports to a very minor extent pay for the rest of
Naval Academy Sports. The US Government does not pay for/fund the Squash team's trip to Whatsamatta U for a competiton.
The Rugby Team's first year National Championship. . . paid for by NAAA. Women's Track Team winning Army/Navy? Travel
and expenses paid by NAAA.
A LOT of the $$$ comes from the TV contract with CBS Sports and CBS for the A/N football game but ticket sales are not a
minor contributor to this.

I am reminded that the purpose of the current 5 city "tour" is to generate more money than the traditional Philly venue so maybe we should not be surprised with the huge amount greed involved by the powers that be.

Greed? Do you think that the New Lacrosse Facility, Glen Warner Soccer Facility, etc are built and paid for by the US Government?

Certainly I was upset that my increased donation to B&G from 1-star to 3-star did not get me priority to get tickets. Also note I am not a big Mr Gladchuk fan and do not believe that NAAA is necessarily acting always in the best interest of the Brigade. Like it or not, college football is big business and @OldRetSWO is spot on as usual. This is Capitalism 101--demand far outstrips supply. NAAA has every right to try and get as much share as possible versus it going to secondary sellers.

Ultimately I upped my donation, got my A-N tickets along with a full season of games and count my blessings I am not writing a check for tuition in the fall.

Also, my DS serving does not grant me any privileges, he is serving, I am not. We are reminded of this fact with every USAA commercial with the Gronk!

Yep exactly, not Sup or Dant, it's Chet & co....

I get it that that game and TV support other sports and facilities. It just seems that allowing Mids the opportunity to purchase 2 tkts for parents isn't much of an ask. Maybe offer those before other sales.
I'm lucky (spoiled living about 2hrs away) as a B&G Donor, and season tkt holder I do have a couple tkts. , but it seems wrong for MID's not to even have the opportunity to purchase for parents or family.

I'm with all of you. It's not fair that all Mids don't get to buy 2 seats to go to the game. Just like its not fair that all of the students at Washington and Michigan didn't get a chance at discounted seats for the National Championship Football game this year. They only had a set amount and every one else had to pay full price. NROTC and AROTC also didn't get a chance to get tickets even though they are serving just like the Mids and Cadets at USNA & USMA.......tragedy. ......(Sarcasm BTW:)

I beleive this is the 2nd or 3rd biggest game in College Football every year. Having to pay full price for these tickets is kinda part of the deal. If USNA or USMA made the NCAA College Championship game, would you expect tickets? They had some to sell to the Mids which is great, but to expect 2 each for every Mid and Cadet just because is alittle ......silly. Also, if your Mid enjoys playing another sport at USNA or the athletic facilities......you might want to consider wher the $$$ comes from for those.....it is not from tuition payments.

I've never been to the game, but it is on my bucket list. I'm going to be biting the bullet and purchase the "cheap" nose bleed seats because this year the game is easy to drive to and back home in a day. I see it as cheaper this year since I don't have to worry about hotel, long transportation, etc.
