Weird question, but thought I'd try to see if anyone else has input on this.
Background: I am a prior enlisted submarine nuke who is attending a Maritime Academy, majoring in Mech. Engineering with a minor in Naval Science. Unfortunately I was barely too old (by a month) for an age waiver to participate as a midshipman in the NROTC or the Merchant Marine Reserves / Strategic Sealift Officer Program. The campus still allows me to enroll in Naval Science courses (which are actually a requirement for graduation). I have already taken the FE exam to register as an Engineer in Training, since I want to go into an engineering community.
Since I am too old to be a midshipman, would the Nuclear Power Officer Candidate program or Baccalaureate Degree Completion Program lead to commission on graduation day?
