My DD is an AD A1C in the AF. Her career field is aerospace medicine. While home on leave for the holidays she mentioned a "blue to blue" program where its possible for someone in the AF to transition into the navy with little paperwork. I assume it is based on several things but it would seem a viable option for some of the AF folks being asked to leave.
