My son received principal nomination from congressman's office in early January 2019, and he recently got placed on Remedial for 3-Day Blood Pressure Check. He followed the instructions and took the blood pressure exam at a designated clinic on January 24, 25, & 28. He was told that his blood pressure was normal on the spot. As of today, his medical report still has not been forwarded to DODMERB. The agency that is responsible for forwarding the results claimed that my son's medical report has not been properly signed by a physician. I contacted the clinic and was told that the doctor refused to sign off on the medical report as there is not a proof or authorization of payment. This is very confusing and frustrating. Is there anything we can do to move things along? Any suggestions are highly appreciated.

If you were directed to a designated clinic by DODMERB, then it’s probably covered by Concorde, the DODMETS contractor. See this page on their website, and give that contact a try.

Thank you for you reply. Yes, we were directed to a designated clinic by DODMERB, and were told that it's covered by Concorde. It appears that the clinic is missing some kind of payment authorization from Concorde, and therefore refused to sign off on the report. We are anxious to move things along and wonder if there is anything else we can do to resolve this besides contacting Concorde. Should we contact the admission office to let them aware of the situation? Will they help resolve this?

Then Concorde needs to solve it. Try the direct approach first, as they are the prime contractor. The govt pays them to administer this part of the DODMERB process.

Thanks Capt MJ. I hope this issue is resolved soon. Thank you.

This may just be me, but depending on the amount, I'd be willing to just pay the damn bill to get it moving - you'll be saving hundreds of thousands with an appointment... but I'm a long-game-gal :p

Agree - we went to our personal pediatrician for remedial blood and urine tests. Faster, closer, and no red tape hassle. Yup it cost me a few bucks but worth it. If you can manage the costs and it is permitted personal physicians for follow up tests and exams can save a good chunk of time. Welcome to the world of low bid govt contractors !!

Wish we have chosen this option earlier. We thought that going through a government contractor would be faster. I wonder if we can choose to pay for the results now in order to move things along.

I agree with @Capt MJ on this one.

The "fight" is between Concorde and their contracted provider. Concorde is responsible for ensuring a completed DODMERB exam is submitted to DODMERB in a timely manner. They have case managers that track all the physical exams and ping their contract providers on sending to DODMERB when not submitted within the time specified in the contract.

If anything, I would contact Concorde and let them know the issue. I'm sure the case manager will do something about a provider not submitting information that has been required of you.

My DD did her DODMERB exam this past summer. The examiner forgot to include the results of the reading test (I think that was it), so DODMERB couldn't accepted the exam. The case manager did all the work and contacted the examiner's office to make sure the form was completed this time with the results of the reading test annotated.
