I am from northwest Arkansas and a junior at a large high school with an enrollment in 9th-12th grades of more than 4,100 students.

My dad sent me to Space Camp in Huntsville during the summer between my fifth and sixth grade years. I came back knowing I wanted to be a pilot. I started looking at my best options and fell in love with the USAFA.

We moved to Arkansas from Louisiana as I started the 7th grade and began attending Academy Days when they were in our area. I am a good student -right at a 4.0 - who takes a very challenging schedule. This year I am in AP/IB courses in Calculus, Physics, Spanish, History and English. Last year I completed AP Calculus and AP World History scoring a 4 and 5 on the AP Exams. I took the ACTfor the first time in the 8th grade and have a superscore of 32. I am active in Civil Air Patrol and a letter winner in tennis.

My family visited USAFA last fall for the Notre Dame game and I loved every minute of it (outside of the loss in the game). I plan to apply as soon as eligible and hope to gain admission. I hope this forum will help me with ideas on how to be a stronger candidate and to learn more about academy life.
