New March 31st deadline?

This portal has been so buggy all year so I am fairly certain it's just some sort of visual error. A 2-month extension to apply to a SA would be a crazy occurrence.

Same here…. New March 31 deadline. ??

Hey guys, I just checked my portal today and it says “pending” even though I have everything submitted (my transcript isn’t checked off yet, but I called and they said it had been uploaded to the sight). I saw that new deadline that is March 31st and was wondering if that means some of my stuff isn’t done. If any of you guys could clarify on that new date I would really appreciate it!!
My DS attended a zoom session last week with USMMA and they said that the deadline has been extended to March 31st. He joined the session at the tail end so I am not sure what reason they gave for the extended deadline.

Tell me about it bro. 😭 I have had my application finished + nomination since November and have been playing the waiting game ever since. I am hoping in the next few weeks I will hear back.
Same here, it's so torturous to wait, but the good thing is that this will all come to an end soon. At least January is over! (well almost) I'm just trying to enjoy this last phase of an "easy" lifestyle before I'm so stressed out these next 4 years!

I wish this is true my college STILL hasn’t sent my transcript in. I sent my transcript to my admission liaison but I still haven’t seen it change. I also got my NROTC Unit CO to send it in through the portal but still nothing has changed. Admissions told me not to worry but I’m still hoping they will accept it after the due date. Everything else is in except for my transcript.
That is the same thing for me except I called yesterday and they uploaded my transcript but I don't have the "checkmark" yet. I would ask if there is any way you could email your transcript as the whole mailing situation can get bad. This is the second time I've had to send my college transcript as the first one got lost :(

And it's not like the SA's are not getting enough applicants... right?

Selection Process & Deadlines

Maximize your opportunity for admission by paying close attention to deadlines and keeping track of application requirements.
  • On average, of the 3000 students who fully qualify for the Naval Academy, 1,400 will receive appointments and approximately 1,200 become midshipmen.
  • The USNA uses a "rolling admissions" selection process. Most candidates will be notified of their final status by April 15.
  • All appointees should notify the Admissions Office of their intention to accept or decline their offer of appointment by May 1.
  • After December 31, new applications to the Class of 2028 will not be accepted.
  • Applications must be completed by January 31, 2024 or will not be considered for admittance.

DS has had his counselor email his transcript directly.

Now it shows my deadline as Feb 15, very interesting.

Wow. I wonder if it has to do with some MOC's being unable to submit nominations before the Jan 31 deadline, so they just bumped it back a couple weeks?

Possible, one of our senators office told DS "expect nomination decision no later than middle of February" although he is pretty sure he won't get it because he has his representative nomination already.

My daughter said hers is showing 2/15 now too. She emailed her admissions counselor and he told her as far as he knows, deadline was Jan 31.
