I have a daughter who is applying for 2014 entrance to the Academy. She has focused on the Airforce x 2yrs now. Last year, as a junior, her guidance counselor pulled her out of class and said if she is truly interested in the Airforce, then she is going to have her try for the AFA. Things have been going great since then.

She applied for the summer seminar, but instead was invited to participate in the Junior Diversity Visitation Program. She shadowed a cadet and fell in love with the academy.

She has completed the application process in time to qualify for the Early Action program. So now we are just waiting (so hard).

We were very encouraged because after her interview, her ALO told her that in the 8 yrs of being an ALO, she has never seen a candidate that was more prepared or aware of what life would be like in the academy than my daughter. We will now leave this in God's hands.

Welcome, your ALO has a wealth of info, but you may lean some tidbits here also!

Good Luck!

Good luck to your DD! We are also in Alaska, DD did summer seminar and completed the package in time for early decision.
