Next steps after receiving scholarship

Ok as you guys know I got the 4 year scholarship. But now what? I Know I have to accept the scholarship. But after that do they contact me to do DoDMERB or I contact them? Also is there other critical things I need to do that I’m missing. Merry Christmas 😄
 
They will refer you to DoDMERB sometime in the future. Good luck.

You will receive a BFE soon.

In there is a certificate in a nice vinyl covering with a letter.

In the letter, you will indicate if you will accept or decline the scholarship. You will also indicate which school (from a list of 3-4) to which the scholarship will be applied. You will have 4 weeks to return the letter. DD uploaded the signed letter into her portal rather than faxing or sending via snail mail. If I recall, a parent will also have to sign the form if you’re under 18yo.

Cadet Command will forward your info to DODMERB to initiate an exam.

DODMERB will run your info into their database. If your info is already in the DODMERB database (via getting a physical done already thru a SA, for example), then Cadet Command will be notified of the exam status (qualified, remedial, etc).

If you don’t have a file established in DODMERB yet, you will get an email to establish an account in DODMETS so you can set up a physical and eye exam.
 
You can actually go to the "File Upload" section of your portal and you will see your Winner Letter. I am assuming it is the same as the one you receive in the mail. The letter states we have until 1/18/20 to accept the scholarship and pick the school.
