No Appointment or TWE....just Crickets

Nothing here either. ALO confirmed they just finished selections and we should all know soon, but no specifics. He did say we would hear before he did. I thought I had read in prior posts of ALO's having non-selects lists?
That is probably true....DS's ALO told me yesterday he got an updated list of nonselects, but nothing on my son. I don't think they get the appointments first though...

No new for my DS. Really thought he'd hear today. Even if it is a TWE, just to put him out of this agony. He did receive a 4 year AROTC but the AFA is his dream!

Patience, grashopper.

Most of us on the list have been here -- I know it is hard. Historically, acceptance notices go first to MOCs -- often on a Friday so they have a few days to contact their nominees (not all do though). The portals are updated, usually the following Thurs or Friday around 0300. It was not to long ago that I got into the habit of waking up at 04 so I could check my DD's portal.

If you absolutely cannot help yourself, you can try calling your MOC's office.

We did not hear until mid April, several we know were after that.

The funny thing about all this, is that USAFA is no later than most other universities. Harvard and Stanford would say, "will let you know when we let you know." Some kids hear early, some later.

If I had to hazard a guess (and it is only that), because some internationals have heard, I would suspect that this week or next will be the time for a lot of candidates.

I feel for everyone that is still waiting. We had the added pressure that USAFA as the only school to which our DD applied. She had made up her mind and failure was not an option. As with D-Day, there was no "Plan-B". I seriously thought about sedating my wife when we crossed into April.

Just to say our son is still waiting as well-no change for Kansas!
I have recently learned of three confirmed appointments for Kansas (not on this forum)...all out of Wichita. Not a TWE or LOA for my DS. Still holding onto a little hope ...

At this point, it's just all the people that got their packages in right at the end, huh?

DS has Pres and MOC and completed in December. #stillwaiting* which means he is still in the game

It is truly getting harder and harder to keep the faith. Admissions told me all appointments and nonselects would be processed by end of day last Friday. What is the hold up?!

I completely agree that it's getting extremely hard to wait.

This morning my physics teacher, who went to the AFA, said "There's three things to remember. Always have confidence in yourself and your abilities no matter what happens, always believe that you can make the best out of whatever happens, and always remember that God has a plan for everyone."
