Nomination acceptance question

Does anyone know what my congresswoman means by, "Detaile information reguarding entrance requirements will be furnished to you by the academy, and I would appreciate your letting me know immediately if you wish to accept this nomination. Please mail your acceptance letter to my office."

I read it as that your congresswoman will not be able to help you in the admissions process beyond providing the nomination and to work with the academy towards an appointment. (and of course send a letter to them to accept your nomination)
