Nomination and prep school

I'm looking for a little clarification. DD received a nomination and it's reflected in her portal but we feel she is a stronger candidate for prep school due to her lower SAT scores. Can one still be selected for prep even with a nomination?

Yes.

There are two paths here:

1. You must be academically DQ'd and recommended by your RC for USMAPS

2. Your DD may be recommended by your RC for a AoG scholarship to be a "sponsored" student and attend a civilian prep. Or you can attend the civilian prep as a "free lance" student and pay the tuition to attend. (there are grants and scholarships available)
