Nomination in Portal?

When I received my nomination from my senator, it showed up in my portal before I ever heard anything from his office. I have received a letter from my congressman’s office saying I have received a nomination however nothing has showed up in my portal yet. Does anyone have any ideas?

I received the letter two weeks ago

My grandson received a phone call last Friday from our Senior Senator's Academy Selection Committee with nominations to both USAFA and USNA; however, nothing shows to date in either portal. I'm guessing that some congressional offices won't actually sent in their slates to the academies until January. That gives them time to confer with other congressional office in the state and attempt to spread nominations around.

admissions or something on the application is probably just taking some time. If you received a letter from your congressman saying you got the nom then the portal update is coming soon. Congrats

My DS just received his letter from his MOC for a Nomination to USAFA today. He just called an accepted not 30 minutes ago. We will be watching his portal for the Update :)
