I was nominated in late January for West Point and was appointed to USMAPS for this upcoming year. I was curious about the nomination source, because when I researched it online, I haven't came across many results helping. My representatives district is just 6, not 62. I'm assuming 62 is a nomination from a senator?

Yes, "6" means senator and there is some debate on this forum about whether the "2" means junior senator (a "1" means senior senator).
A nomination from your representative would be listed as (2 letter) State-(2 #) district (ie in our case KS-03).

This is a late reply, but thank you for answering. I was curious, I never received a letter telling me I received a nomination, it just popped up on my portal in January.
