Hello all, I have received a nomination for the USAFA from Rep Trahan a few weeks ago. I got a call from the board of Senator Warren recently. I had been informed that I didn't receive her nomination as "the commonwealth wants to nominate as many qualified candidates as possible". My question is will having less nominations make me less competitive compared to a candidate in a different state with multiple MOC noms?

Yes. More noms is better. But one is enough. Senators usually give there noms to more competitive people who are slam dunks.

The number of nominations does not change how competitive you are with regard to a candidate with more MOC nominations in another state. The number of nominations in that particular circumstance won't impact your likelihood of admission without understanding how competitive you and that other candidate are on your respective slates. Your single nomination provides a pathway in. Don't sweat this issue as there is not a thing you can do to change who nominated you, let alone the competition on your slate. Good luck.

How did you find out you got the nomination? I have looked at every web site and can't find any info.

It will show up on your portal.

Other than that it is different for every MOC. Some will email you, some will call, etc.

But it will always end up on your portal as something like:
Missouri - Senator 81 Nomination received.
Missouri - 1st Congressional District Nomination received.

etc
