Nomination Received-What's Next?

Today my son received a nomination from a Senator for the USNA. What should we expect next? Is it typical to receive any correspondence from the academy? Should the candidate contact the academy? Or is it a situation where one just awaits word?
 
We received no written word from USNA. However it was posted online app within 5 days. Watch there for confirmation. Is your lad qualified also?
