Hello everyone,
I checked my portal this morning and saw that my nomination was check marked but I have not recieved an email or phone call telling me that I recieved a nomination.
Is this a glitch or did I recieve my nomination?

Lol, the minute after I just posted this thread I got an email saying that the congresswoman wanted to talk to me over the phone tomorrow. Has anyone ever gotten this before?
 
Not all nomination sources reach out to you and let you know. You should receive a letter at least though to let you know they gave you a nomination.
 
I received 2/3 of my nominations before I got a letter. I believe timelines vary from nomination to nomination.
 
All I received was a congratulations email the day after the interview. No call, no hardcopy letter. This matched my own preference. It would have been an awkward call having to feign over excitement and overflow with profuse thank you's. I'm still a little raw about having had to do 9 essays, ask for another 3 LORs, and submit a CV as part of the application process.

Damn 9 essays? I only had to do one lol

My son found out via the portal two days before our congressman called him at school.

Some will and some will not. They can do it any way they want.

Bottom Line, if the Service Academy says that you have a nom, believe them
