I remember reading somewhere that if you are a part of an honor unit JROTC then you can get a nomination from your instructor. However, I've only been able to find forms for AFJROTCs. I'm a member of an Army JROTC that is an honor unit with distinction, and my SAI said he would nominate me if possible, but he doesn't know how. The Naval Academy has a form on their website that says you can be nominated by a JROTC from any branch, so I assumed the USAFA had the same policy. Can anyone give me more information?

This is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you so much! I didn't understand what an HMS was when I first looked at it, so I think I skipped over it.

You are very welcome. That’s a lesson right there. USAFA.edu is your primary resource, and if you run into something you don’t understand, train yourself to not guess and pause until you find out what it is. Military life is ruled by regulations and policy documents, and a future JO learns how to navigate these primary sources. Good for you to go after an additional nom source and good luck!
