My pinky toe was fractured and is partially healed - but not fully. However, there is no pain and the doctor said it was 'clinically healed' If it doesn't fully heal - but there is no pain - can I get a waiver?

Hi,

I would rather not do that to someone I don't know. I would rather go through the official process. However for context, I was injured in September.

Just so you know, you will NOT get a reliable answer to your question on this type forum, because NO one knows the answer

He’s the Deputy Chief of DoDMERB and has helped countless families navigate the medical piece of this roller coaster in this forum over a large number of years. Went quiet for a while but recently back with much activity. Yes, I’m THAT guy that started reading tons of the old threads to educate myself on the details of the process as well as the rhythm underlying it in order to best advise my DS. I believe if you read for a while you will see Mr. Mullen is beyond helpful and trustworthy.

OP may not know that. If so, good for him for not emailing personal info. I wouldn’t know if I didn’t know [emoji23]

Blessed to have Dodmerb forum GOAT back helping.

Yes, that is why I suggested reading for a while to gain the same level of trust I would have if DS needed help navigating anything medical qualification related.

You will not get better advice than from THE Deputy Director of DoDMERB...

If you have not read every item in the left-hand menu at the link below, I recommend it.

In “Questions about the process?,” Mr. Mullen introduces himself as the Deputy Director. About as primary source official as you can get.

Here is another thread that contains Mr. Mullen's "official" government email:
