After waiting for almost three months, I have finally found out my status for the SLE.

I thought I would get the email first, but I checked the portal instead.

NOT SELECTED it says.

You might get a callback, happened to me (still did not attend because I went to NASS). Being originally denied to SLE did not hurt my chances of getting in; in fact, I got an LOA in September of my senior year. Best wishes.

Don't forget....SLE or no SLE...it has NO BEARING on gaining an appointment to USMA.

Keep your chin up buttercup... don't be discouraged and still APPLY. This denial has no impact like others have stated. My DD got the same information from the portal on 3/16. Still haven't received an email either so not sure what that is all about. Stay the course.

My Class of 2017 Firstie did not get selected for SLS, but he did get an appointment to West Point, so don't fret.

I went to SLE, actually all three summer seminars and didnt get into usna and am still waiting to hear from usma and usafa. However, as time dwindles on, so does my hope. Getting into SLE has absolutely no bearing on whether you get in or not.
