It will probably depend on how the recruiting district commander is handling the ISRs he/she has to offer. Some make it a competitive process where they interview a number of candidates before making a decision. Others decide who they plan to award the ISR to then interview them to confirm their choice and offer the ISR. The commander is required to personally interview each person they award an ISR to. In my DS' case, the commander had already made the decision to award him an ISR prior to the interview. The interview itself was pretty relaxed. In fact, the first thing the commander told him was to relax, he already had the scholarship and this was just a conversation. He was asked about what he thought he wanted to do in the Navy, about some of his experiences in school and Boy Scouts and would he use the scholarship if it was given to him. Bottom line is, you likely already did well in your officer interview if you are being considered for an ISR. There is no special preparation you should need to do for this interview, other than I would suggest you review the commander's career bio on the web page to be familiar with his/her career path. Think about how you answered questions in your officer interview and think about any responses you want to polish up.
