NROTC Marine Option Scholarship

What were your general stats by the way? This is so that anybody doing research later down the road can see them and get an idea of the competitiveness. I also know that they consider the "whole" person which is key to getting the scholarship.

SAT: 2130
ACT: 32
SAT & ACT Equivalent CR + Math Total: 1500
AFQT: 97
3.48 Unweighted GPA at top public school in Massachusetts
PFT: 260 (was really unhappy with this, I have a background in weightlifting but never ran before)

I am a strong writer so I believe that my essay helped and I feel that one of my interviews went decently and the other one went very well. I am active in community service, church community, 3-Year Varsity Hockey Player, other mix of JV/Freshmen sports, and am CPR/First Aide/WSI certified. Good luck to all of those reading this in the future, stay on top of things, kill your PFT, and you'll be fine.
Have you already been accepted to UT Austin?

No not yet, waiting for a reply. I applied back at the very end of October.

Congrats to all who have earned a scholarship.

Be on the lookout for some paperwork to sign indicating your acceptance of the scholarship. (this is non-binding so don't worry too much) The packet will also have details about DODMERB (physical exam) and instructions for wait listing or moving the scholarship to other schools. If you have any broken bones or other medical history I recommend you begin contacting Doctors and gathering as much documentation as you can just in case you need it for remedials, etc.

Good luck with the next phase of the process.
I received an email saying we are able to begin signing up through DODMERB online before we get this packet, but I'm having trouble getting into my account. Any insight on how to get on or will I just get that information in the mail? I tried signing in using my social and last name but it says wrong username/password. Thank you.

We're having the same problem. DS received an email from NSTC and can't access his account on the DODMETS portal.

The site is run by Concorde, under contract to the DOD, I suspect this is a timing issue as the scholarship recipients are loaded into the DODMETS database.

If you are in the process of apply to an academy you should have an account already. I assume when i get my medical evaluation done for USNA it will work for NROTC MO as well, and vice versa. But yes, a letter should come with your log in info, it seems like a daunting process, I am beginning it tonight. I'll be sure to post if I come accross any problems or solutions that could save others some time and brain damage.
