NROTC NSI - COVID Vaccine NO Longer Required

DS received a reminder email from USN NSTC Great Lakes for submittal of his NROTC mandatory information package to attend New Student Indoctrination (NSI). Within the email there was the following statement "Please note that the COVID vaccine is no longer required to attend NSI. However it is mandatory that you inform us of your vaccination status."

Wondering if attendees had to be vaccinated in 2022 to attend NSI?

Wondering if attendees had to be vaccinated in 2022 to attend NSI?

They needed to report their vaccination status. And while it was a requirement for DoD at the time which influenced the need for that report, it was alos true that nearly every major college or university also required vaccination status. This time around we just want to know the status as we will likely be testing everyone upon arrival at NSI and will want to see of there are any upticks in initial covid positives among the unvaccinated members.
