NROTC "Other Recommendation"?

Im stuck between two choices for my other recommendation.

My first one is my SNSI for my NJROTC unit. He is a retired Navy commander. My relationship with him is good (better than most cadets. Most cadets prefer the other instructor, who is far less strict and much more..."fun". Im one of the few who is of the opposite opinion because i am captain of our orienteering team, who our commander is in charge of.) He is who i originally put down for it, and im not really sure why im questioning it.

My other option is my boss. Ive been working there since febuarary, and i guess i kind of "shine" there. Ive never been late, almost always work late when asked to, have received several "compliments" from emails apparently, am the only non-team leader/manager who consistently closes.

I guess i just feel that at work, i "stand out" more in a good way, while in my JROTC unit, although ive done some things, and am a team captain, i imagine so many cadets apply for rotc scholarships, alot of them in higher positions than me.

Am i over thinking this? Which do you guys think i should go for?

Who do you feel would write better about your leadership capabilities? I'd lean towards your SNSI, as you appear to have more leadership examples there, whereas at work you're more or less just a fantastic employee.

At the end, it's who you think would write it better, honestly.
