Hello,
I was recently awarded the NROTC National Scholarship. I had my DoDMERB medical paperwork reviewed and had the same DQ I had for USNA, which was a color deficiency DQ. This is because I found out I was mildly color red/green deficient (though I have no trouble going day to day identifying reds and greens).
My questions are: Is it possible to get a waiver for NROTC yet not USNA? Furthermore, is it possible for DoDMERB to ask for more AMI to try and see if I truly an DQ'd for this? In the case of a DQ, how long does the appeal process usually take and what is the likely hood of having a waiver granted for this? I am hoping for the best in this situation and will continue to pray for myself and other applicants in the same situation as me.
Thank you so much in advance.
