NROTC Scholarship Packet

My son learned that he received a scholarship about a week and a half ago through his portal. It said he would be receiving a packet in the mail with all the details. We have not yet received the packet. Normally I would not be concerned but a few days after receiving the NROTC scholarship he received the AROTC scholarship as well and we have already received their packet. Just wondering if others are still waiting or if we should try to contact someone about this since he has a limited amount of time to accept the scholarship.

When my DS received his NROTC scholarship a couple years ago, it took about 10 days to receive the packet in the mail. He can accept the scholarship online in his portal though.

Last year my DS got his NROTC packet in about two weeks.

Still waiting on the packet...In the meantime my son wanted to go ahead and accept his scholarship through his portal. It was a little difficult to navigate. He printed the form and uploaded to his application but when selecting the category of the form to upload there was nothing that exactly matched the name of the document. He also emailed it as a back up but I am just wondering if other have encountered this problem and where exactly you uploaded the acceptance.

My DD just clicked ACCEPT on the portal and that’s it. Now it reads: You have ACCEPTED the Scholarship. She did not upload any documents. You can accept the scholarship on the portal only if you log in through the NROTC website and choose Check Status of Application. Then enter social sec number and birthday. Then it will let you accept the scholarship on the portal.
As a side note, we also haven’t yet received a packet in the mail.

So he has printed it and emailed it but his portal does not reflect the accepted status. It still just says "congratulations..."

You have to log into the portal through Check status of application. It is located at the bottom of this link:

http://www.nrotc.navy.mil/index.html

If you log in through the regular application, there won’t be such an option.
