NROTC Uniform Question

The Navy and Marine Corps actually has a civilian dress code that is enforced. I have seen Marines chased out of the PX and stopped out in town for it. Heck when you enter the PX they usually have a huge sign with it. Marine Corps long weekend civilian clothes at formation... you bet everyone was in proper civilian attire. TBS... no jeans, belts, tucked in shirts, no sneakers, collared shirt. We looked like tool bags shopping at wal mart or eating at Taco Bell, but hey, do what you have to do. Cooperate and graduate that place. I think they may allow jeans now. Liberty overseas and getting off the ship... heck many times jeans were not allowed and depending on the country, no jeans, shorts or shoulders exposed. It can vary on port and leadership. I doubt anyone is inspecting the Mid going to day to day class, unless it’s an NROTC class or function. Not surprised they have prescribed civilian attire at many units.
