Looking for ideas. DS thought when he left school was to attend first NSI ....never received any confirmation. He has (according to him) called repeatedly and emailed his unit HR but received nothing in return. Who else should be contacted or should just sit and wait?

DS should have received an NSI information package which informed him of a range of requirements. As part of that, there should have been some language along the lines of.....

"FAQs are provided in the NSI Mandatory Information Package FAQs PDF to answer any questions you may have. For specific questions regarding required paperwork, please contact the CMGO at GRLK_NROTC_CGO@navy.mil. Do not send Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or Health Information via email. If such information is required by the CMGO we will contact you directly with directions on how to send that information electronically.

The NSI Package Checklist is included as part of the NSI Mandatory Information Package to ensure all requirements are met. Print, utilize, and sign this form and include it in the paperwork submitted to the N92/NSI Admin Office."

That email address would be a good place to start. If you wanted to share which NROTC unit DS was assigned, I am happy to send a note asking about the status.

But if he NEVER received any confirmation from anyone, then there is something not quite right here.

As far as I know, he did receive that, did all medical needed and sent it in (although that may have been electronic if that makes a difference) He is a part of Auburn ROTC unit.

The normal process is for the candidates to mail in their required information, mostly because the NMCI software sometimes detects privacy information and can strip some or all of the email attachments.

I think he should send an email to the grlk_nrotc_cgo@navy.mil address and ask for assistance. I can let his PNS know that at least one of the NSI candidates might be in a limbo status. It is a bit odd that no one has reached out to him yet. He can also check his spam folder using the email that was listed on his initial NROTC scholarship application.

Wanted to say thank you again for all your help. DS finally was able to connect with Ms. Strickland Thursday evening last and seems to have everything worked out. Still no idea why there were issues, but glad we are moving forward.
