If a Midshipman is screened to interview for Nuke, and they pass the interview and medical portion, what are the odds that they would get Nuke SWO if that is their top choice? Likewise, if a Midshipman is screened to interview, does well and passes medical, but puts Nuke as their last service selection choice, how likely is it that they might be "drafted" to Nuke? For engineering majors, typically what is the minimum GPA that would need to be selected for Nuke?

With regard to "chances of," there is no way of predicting that from year to year.

The needs of the Navy, as always, determines how many it needs for various warfare communities sourced across all commissioning accession programs. It will also depend on how many mids decide they want, or don't want, a particular warfare specialty as they rank order their service selection preferences. Not helpful, I know, but it's a numbers problem in a fluid setting that can change from year to year.

Each unit has a service community mission. I know my DS unit has a Sub mission of 3 for his year. Your unit should have a goal and you should be able to figure out how likely a draft would be.

I don't think she will need to be concerned with a Sub draft, since there are so few slots for women and the few female Midshipmen who get it, seem to have extremely high GPAs. As Captain MJ pointed out, I guess we will just have to wait and see. For DD, she hasn't ruled out Nuke and she was screened to interview, but she has not really decided yet, if she really wants it yet.
