Number next to nomination on portal

In my portal my nomination from Sen. Gillibrand has a number 1 next to it. Is anyone aware of what this number means? Could it mean principle nominee? Someone said earlier that it distinguishes between the senior or junior senator, however Gillibrand is the junior senator from NY so I'm not sure.

It doesn't mean principal. It is the senator numbering system.
