Offered second CVW

I attended two, once as an applicant and once as an appointee who accepted the appointment. I thought the second CVW was more valuable than the first. My mindset was different between them. I felt like a guest just visiting for the first one (which I was), but the second had a different tone. I had a general idea of what USNA was about and how it operated from the first CVW, so I was made my second visit a bit more deliberate. I was more focused on asking about plebe life and envisioning myself as mid more. I felt that the plebes I was with were also more candid with their answers to my questions since I was already committed.

TLDR: I think a second third to Annapolis is worth it. You can ask more poignant questions and really take the time to see yourself as a mid. You can ask yourself if you truly want to do it.
Thanks @Usnavy2019 . I will share everyones thoughts. It is his first choice for school and Rugby. But I agree worth another visit just to be able to ask more specific questions.

Would you suggest that he attend the 2nd CVW?
It really depends on perspective and what you expect to accomplish. There is absolutely no need to attend solely to show "interest and motivation" or to attend for anything other than personal reasons. A simple, " no thanks, I've attended NASS and a CVW already" shows you care. The reason to attend is a Navy2019 says--to get another chance to look under the tent and see if that is what you want to do. I don't think there is anything different in how the first and second CVW is presented..its the same program, but your perspective changes --first time its a new experience, you are nervous and maybe afraid to ask the tough questions. Second time, a little more confidence and the prospect of attending is a little more real.

Bottom line, if you are one of those kids that has always wanted to go to a Service Academy and attending a CVW isn't going to change anything, then really no need to go again. If on the fence, not sure if a Service Academy is for you, by all means , go and enjoy. (FYI, my perspective was the former -- I never even saw USNA in person until I visited with my NAPS class in the Fall -- and we didn't have Youtubes that show every aspect of Midshipman life !)
