Just curious: how do mids ID their clothes? I'd guess they have to attach their alpha no. to them. How is this done? I went to a military high school with boarders, and they sewed labels onto everything. This would help parents sending mids socks or compression shorts and the like. I assume things tend to get lost in the laundry...

We had a stamp and an indelible ink pad with our ID# and had to stamp everything. I do mean every piece of clothing probably twice. Still have the thing in my old kit with my old RAF number (before Social Security ID). Don't know how they do it but I know lots of stuff was "misplaced" and never found or returned from Academy Laundry Service over four years. That included some high priced uniform pieces.
