Overnight Visit Scheduling

I was wondering what the Overnight Visit scheduling process is for someone with a LOE. The letter gives a number to call and schedule with and there appears to be an online option too. However, the online registration option through the candidate portal only shows dates that begin in late January. Obviously a sooner time would be helpful as USAFA is also knocking on the door, but (online at least) there are no available days soon.

Would it be appropriate to contact the admissions office and see what they can do? Or is what's online the end-all be-all in terms of overnight visit day/s.

My son called the number for the Admissions Office that was in his LOE to get info on the Overnight Visit. According to him the person he spoke with was helpful and informative, but directed him to the candidate portal to do the actual scheduling. From past experience, USMA is blocked-out for overnights much of Nov and all of Dec due to breaks/exams/and other cadet obligations. Looks like we'll be there sometime late January.
