Hello!
Is there anyone who has gone to the West Point overnight visits?
If so, what should I pack and what should I expect?

Thanks :)

The email my son received included items he should bring when I asked him. He won’t be attending until the middle of January so I haven’t looked at the list. When my older son went to a USNA CVW it was typical clothing - business casual and workout clothing. Son 3 was offered a CVW for the winter for USNA but the list sent included the same type of items and bedding. Did you receive an email?

I went last week. There’s a packing list on the confirmation email you were sent. Dress more utilitarian than fancy; I found that I could’ve worn some better shoes (USMA got their first snowstorm the day I was there). Bring a sleeping bag, I made the mistake of not doing so and ended up on a hard cot using my winter coat as a blanket. Really got the Army experience on that one[emoji2]. Bring a water bottle, whatever toiletries, and pajamas. I didn’t use my workout clothes that they suggested for their intended purpose, but I did wear them when I had a snowball fight with a bunch of plebes. Dressing warmly is the most important, I ditched the fancier clothes I had for something more along the lines of “cadet casual.”

It’s a fun time. You’ll go to everything your plebe goes to, eat with whoever they eat with, and sleep in their room. If you have any specific questions I’ll happily answer them.

No I have not received an email yet. It just said on my portal that I've requested

Please bring a pillow or blanket. Pillows actually probably take up too much travel space. I am a current plebe who has had several CCs in my room this past semester. Each time, we have to pull out the green cot. It is squeaky, small, and not comfortable. Unless you want the "Army experience," you will need it!
