Hey y'all

I have a quick question regarding the PCQ. So my PSAT/SAT scores aren't the greatest. My PSAT is a 1040 from like a year ago and since COVID, haven't been able to take the ACT or SAT. I've been studying hard for those test that I am taking in later March and April, but the question is, should I just fill out the PCQ with the 1040 PSAT and hope to get into the candidate phase, or wait to receive(hopefully) better test scores and fill out the PCQ later? My GPA is good and my resume I believe is strong, I just don't want to be knocked out even before I become a candidate. Any advice would be great.

Thanks,

I submitted my PCQ with a PSAT of like 1050 and a ACT of like 26, so not the biggest deal. I would say submit it. The earlier you submit the PCQ = earlier application window. If for some reason they decide not to promote you to candidate, you can always send them new test scores and they will work with you.

Best of luck!

Thanks for the note, I've been getting like 28-32 on the practice exam, and I've been practicing for a couple of weeks now for all the sections except math(cause I haven't studied for that yet haha) and have a good gpa so I hope I will be alright. Also, one more thing. If you submitted the PCQ early what does your application window look like? Like what month usually is the whole thing due?

The Academy will always 'use' your best scores so continue to take either test (ACT or SAT or both!) and take the tests often using the feedback from the prior tests to prepare for the 'next' one. Also, your overall record is also very important so continue to participate in outside activities and athletics. This forum is a great source of recommendations. Best of luck!
