Good morning,

My DS is looking forward to his grandfather performing his swearing in on I-Day. My question is regarding my dad's uniform. He's a Navy man at heart, enlisting out of high school in 1966, but he switched to army reserve sometime in the early 90's and retired from the army. He can still fit into his army dress uniform, but is concerned that it would be strange to perform this ceremony at the academy wearing that uniform. The navy uniform will not fit. Should he opt for just the suit and tie, or is the army uniform appropriate? At the end of the day, he couldn't care less about the attire, he's ecstatic about the chance to perform this for his grandson. Thoughts? Thanks!

Either the Army Uniform or civilian attire would not be out of place. I'm a retired Naval Officer and I swore my son in while wearing a Suit and Tie both on I Day and at Graduation.
