Physical Fitness Test?

Physical standard for Combat Arms soldier should follow the Ranger School model, regardless of your age, score certain points on 17-21 male APFT scale (at least that was the scale used when I attended . . ).

Why? For PU & SU the 28-32 scale is harder.
 
there are actually two new tests. the test with the obstacle course, sled run, etc. is the Army Combat Readiness Test, which will be done only before deployments. The Army Physical Readiness Test will replace the APFT. It consists of 1.5 mile run, 60 yard shuttle, long jump, 1 minute pushups (might be two, not 100% sure on this) and 1 minute "rowers" (basically a more coordinated situp).
