Yes, the current method is that you fill out a sheet detailing your academics, physical fitness, accomplishments, etc. Then you have an interview with the TACs and your first sergeant. Then the top few from every battalion go on to regimental rank boards where they are evaluated by the Commandant's Department personally. Under the current system, you are evaluated based on a points system. You can get up to 12 points based on your application (3 points each for academics, physical fitness, morals/discipline, and leadership) and then up to 8 points in your interviews.
